2. ‘Misfits’ is a British fiction drama series created
by Howard Overman. The story introduces us
to five teenagers who are carrying out
community service for breaking the law.
While they do their deeds they are struck by
a really mysterious lightening; in which they
develop various mysterious superpowers.
They are forced to team up and fight to
survive. ‘Misfits’ offer lot of humour and
drama while being extremely
entertaining, and leaves you each week
waiting for the next episode with terrific cliff-
hangers.

4. • At the start of each episode there is a short recap
of previous episodes in which key points are
shown. We are then introduced to the characters
and hear the theme song (included in first slide).
• After that we are taken to the main episode which
includes advert breaks around every 5 to 10
minutes.
• After the episode is finished, we get a little preview
of next week’s episode. After we hear the theme
song once more as credits roll.
(The ‘Misfits’ structure doesn’t change unless a
special episode such as Christmas Special or
other)

5. Most language used in Misfits is understandable
for all audiences. However some slang is used
and also there is quite a large amount of
swearing and inappropriate language for
children under sixteen years of age.
