2 Samuel 7 is, in many ways, the theological high water mark of the Old Testament. At least 5 major messianic themes in this chapter are further developed by the NT authors as they demonstrate that Jesus was David's Greater Son who fulfilled the aspects of these prophesies which Solomon and his line never fully fulfilled. Contained within this chapter is a prayer of David which serves as the OT Master Class on Prayer.
