A volcano is a mountain. There is a deep hole. It goes deep
down inside the Earth.

3. TYPES OF VOLCANOES
An active volcano erupted and can erupt again.
A dormant volcano is sleeping.
An extinct volcano can't erupt again.
One third of the world volcanoes are under the sea.
The Galapagos islands are volcanics islands,they were formed under the sea.They are
near the coast of Ecuador.There are 13 bigs islands and 6 small islands.There are still
eruptions in the Galapagos islands.

4. Vesuvius is an extintc volcano.It's in
Italy.There was a terrible eruption in the
past. When Vesuvius erupted there was
a lot of ash.It was imposible to breath
and a lot of people died.The ash covered
the city of Pompeii.
Two men discovered the ruins of the
city in 1595.
They did lots of excavations and they
discovered houses,streets,shops,
Sculptures, paintings...Today lots of
people from all over the world visit
the ruins of Pompeii every year.

5. It's in Washington. It's an active volcano. There was a
catastrophic eruption on May 18, 1980. Fifty-seven people were
killed.

6. Is in sicily, Italy. It's an active volcano. The most
important eruption was in 1669. It killed only a few people.

7. Teide is in Tenerife island. The most important eruption was in
1909. Teide is dormant at the moment.

8. Krakatoa is an active volcano in Indonesia. The most important eruption was in 1983 .
36,417 people were killed.
