start opening day in regular season

time with his new team the Saints, though

 Starting QB Ryan Tannehill out
o Matt Moore will battle recently signed jay cutler
for starting job
o Cutler will not play
o Brandon Doughty has struggled in camp but will
likely get a lot of PT after Moore
 RB Jay Ajayi out for Miami. He rushed for 1,272
yards last year at 4.9 yards per carry
 Superstar WR Julio jones and Taylor Gabriel are out
for Atlanta
 Fins injury prone last few years and expected to be
conservative with starters and key players

6. Redskins vs. Ravens (-1, 37)
 Starting QB Joe Flacco out for ravens.
Journeyman Ryan mallett gets the start and
will play extensively. He is likely playing for his
career as Colin Kaepernick will likely take his
roster spot if mallett flops again
 Redskins WR Jamison Crowder, who has 67
catches last year, is out
 Skins TE Jordan reed, who had 66 receptions
last year, 87 in 2015, is also out
 Often-injured WR Josh Doctson was having a
great camp, but is also out for Washington

7. Vikings (-2.5 -120, 36.5) vs. Bills
 Bills opened at -1
 Bills star WR Sammy Watkins will play about a
quarter. He played in only six games last year
because of injury, grabbing 28 catches
Jaguars vs. Patriots (-3 -125, 39.5)
 Blake Bortles went 5-for-17 in joint workout
 He’s been bad in camp

8. Eagles vs. Packers (-0, 38)
 Packers opened -2
 Packers QB Aaron Rodgers very doubtful
 Brett Hundley likely starting QB
 Monday was spent preparing for eagles,
something rare in first game
 Eagles Carson Wentz expected to start at QB,
though probably one or two series
