2. RESCUE HERO
Asap’s aim is to help lifeguards save more lives in waters
internationally, in a sustainable way. When a person starts
drowning and taking on water, rescuers have around 90
seconds before brain damage can begin to set in and the
person looses consciousness.
Speed is everything in water rescues.
Asap Rescue Hero is a small one-person launch, electric
motorized craft. It is a first response, quick launch craft -
capable of ducking through surf, and lightweight enough to
tuck under your arm and run with.
Designed specifically for rescue and patrol for beach
lifeguards. One person can pick up the craft and jump onto it,
in water - significantly faster than launching a jet ski from a
trailer.
3. These water crafts are electric powered and can be charged
with renewable energy sources. Electric power also means
they have zero impact on the environment during use - zero
emissions and noise pollution.
Asap has developed this water craft to a working prototype
level and tested it with over a hundred of the best lifeguards,
along the east coast of Australia, with the backing of Virgin.
Based on this testing and feedback they are now developing
the product to production level.

The Founder, Ross Kemp, came up with the idea for the
rescue product whilst training as a lifeguard. After visiting
many lifeguard stations and testing existing equipment, he felt
lifeguards are given very basic equipment for lifesaving
responsibilities.
Asap is looking for their business to be much more than water
craft products, and will be looking at how we can help
communities with lifesaving training, raising money for
equipment and setting up new rescue stations globally.
