Use Case 1 - Home Page
1. Brief Description
This use case supports the ACE HOME PAGE. The Home Page allows the user to
navigate thru the system.
The following requirements must be supported by this functionality:
Provide the ability to access the Home Page.
2. Actors
An actor may be a person, a device, another system or sub-system, or time. Actors
represent the different roles that something outside has in its relationship with the
system whose functional requirements are being specified. An individual in the real
world can be represented by several actors if they have several different roles and goals
in regards to a system.

The user has successfully logged into the system.

5. Basic Flow of Events
This basic flow describes the scenario in which a user has successfully logged into the
system and has made it to the Home Page.
5.1. HOME PAGE DISPLAYS
The following options display on the Home Page:
o Concerns
o Inspections
o Enforcements
o Facilities
o Setup
o Log Out
o Help
5.2. CONCERNS
The user selects the CONCERNS option; this will direct the user to the CONCERN
SEARCH screen. See Use Case: UC2 – Concern Search.
5.3. INSPECTIONS
The user selects the INSPECTIONS option; this will direct the user to the
INSPECTION SEARCH screen. See Use Case: UC5 – Inspection Search.
5.4. ENFORCEMENTS
The user selects the ENFORCMENTS option; this will direct the user to the
ENFORCMENT SEARCH screen. See Use Case: UC8 – Enforcement Search.
5.5. FACILITIES
The user selects the FACILITIES option; this will direct the user to the FACILITY
SEARCH screen. See Use Case: UC11 – Facility Search.
5.6. REPORTS
The user selects the REPORTS option; this will direct the user to the REPORT
PORTAL. See Use Case: U14 – Report Portal.
5.7. SETUP
The user selects the SETUP option; this will direct the user to the SETUP
screen. See Use Case: U15 – SETUP.

The user selects Log Out this will log them completely out of the system.

The user selects the Help Link this navigate them to the user manual for the ACE
System.
