INTRODUCTION.
One can argue endlessly about global climate change on our planet. This change occurs or not.
Are we threatened in the near future, a global ecological disaster or not. However, local
environmental concerns have long had a place on our planet. It is an indisputable fact. If next to
your house to build a large power plant and from its pipes on a daily basis is a smoke - it's not
like anyone. If you are passing by the truck and from its exhaust pipe is black smoke - it also
causes negative emotions of other road users. If you come to the beach to relax on the nature
and range of household garbage is lying, it totally spoil your mood.
Everyone, without exception, enjoy the beautiful nature, fresh air and beautiful scenery of the
windows of the house. To this aim all the inhabitants of the planet, and this should be the case
everywhere.
The number of the world's population is constantly growing. Automatically increases and power
consumption. We can not imagine his life without cars, the bright street lighting at night, without
a large number of household appliances and so on. All this requires a tremendous amount of
energy to be produced with minimal environmental pollution.
The emergence of alternative energy gives humanity a chance to live comfortably in harmony
with nature. Do not pollute the nature and use of the potential of nature and the environment
to meet their needs. However, this does not happen by itself. To do this, you need to bring
together a large number of experts from different countries. We need new specialists with new
thinking. We need new educational programs. Looking for new research centers.

1. STATE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY TODAY.
Alternative Energy - a set of advanced production methods of energy transfer and utilization,
which is not as widespread as traditional, but are of interest because of the profitability of
their use in the usually low risk of causing harm to the environment.
Currently, alternative energy is developing very rapidly. This development comes just two
ways: centralized and decentralized. On the one hand, large companies implement energy
throughout the grand projects of solar, wind, tidal, wave and other alternative power plants.
On the other hand, the population massively sells small projects for independent power
supply of houses and farms.
Naturally, this trend will continue in the near future. In some countries, the share of
alternative energy today reaches 10-20%. This is a very high level. Most developed
countries declares today a complete failure of the program or at least a significant
reduction in consumption of fossil fuels by 2050. The implementation of these programs
requires the preparation of a large number of innovative energy experts, who will be able
to carry out these plans.

Many completed projects are unique and worthy of admiration. For example:
1. Thermal solar power plant in California.
2. Thermal solar power plant in Morocco.

3. Residential buildings with solar photovoltaic panels.
4. Marine and terrestrial wind farms.

5. Geothermal power station in Iceland.
6. Wave power.

7. Hybrid wind farm on El Hierro island

In the Canary Islands realized the majority of these projects, which are a unique base for training
of the professionals.

2. TRAINING IN THE FIELD OF ALTERNATIVE ENERGY.

heating homes, wind energy for ship traffic and driving mechanisms and so on. But only in

industry to lifestyle.
Today, alternative energy, even the basics are taught in elementary school. Children are
taught to make rational use of the resources of nature.
A great number of universities in the world are preparing specialists in the field of alternative
energy. Almost established research centers and institutions of renewable energy worldwide.
Every year in different parts of the world scientific conferences, symposia, various meetings
of experts and schools to exchange experiences.
It has long been proven that the most effective method of preparation of experts - is the
involvement of students in the realization of new perspective projects.
Project-based learning - is an integrated teaching method that allows you to personalize the
learning process, enables the student to show independence in the planning, organization
and control of their activities and creativity in carrying out educational tasks.
This project must be real and promising and have the necessary practical significance. Only
the real work on specific projects will make students aware of the need for the knowledge
obtained during the theoretical phase of training.
"Everything that I learn, I know what it is I need, and where and how I can this knowledge be
applied" - that is the main thesis of the modern understanding of the project method, which
attracts many educational systems, seeking to find a balance between academic knowledge
and pragmatic skills. The method of projects is the development of students' cognitive skills,
ability to independently design and use their knowledge and skills to navigate the information
space and to think critically about the information received.
3. THE TRAINING CENTER OF ALTERNATIVE ENERGY.
Each University, which trains specialists in the field of alternative energy, be sure there are
research laboratories. Students of these universities are usually involved in the work in these
laboratories. However, any research laboratory focuses on solving a fairly narrow range of
tasks, which are the most relevant for the region. There are laboratories, which would at the
same time to deal with all kinds of alternative energy. This is too big an area of knowledge
and the possible directions. In addition, not all universities have an adequate budget for the
creation of modern scientific research laboratories, which reduces training students only to
the theoretical lectures.

From this it follows that in the preparation of specialists in the field of alternative energy
should be a possibility of an exchange of students between different universities can be more
widely used, research laboratories and training centers.
The ideal solution to this problem may be a summer school, which at the same time could
participate students and teachers from several universities. This will greatly expand the
horizons of students and to increase the level and quality of their training.
Here we should note a very important point. All commercial companies that produce
equipment for alternative energy spending huge money on advertising their products.
However, the main target group of the advertising - it is the students who are trained in the
field of alternative energy. Most of these students after graduation will work in consulting
and design organizations. If a student is in the process of training equipment used some
company, then later in his work, he will use and recommend this equipment. Advertising
products among students is the most effective and allows you to get the most positive results
at the lowest cost.
4. SUMMER SCHOOL ON RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES.

1. At this point, should be the conditions for implementing any project of alternative energy.
There must be enough intense solar radiation is sufficiently high average wind speed, the
presence of mountains, ocean and so on.
2. The site should be officially declared a biosphere reserve place.
3. Participants of the Summer School should feel the interest of local authorities in the
development of alternative energy.
4. Venue of the Summer School should not be a major industrial area. Against the
background of the major electricity consumers of alternative energy projects will look
insignificant and ineffective.
5. At this point must be already implemented large-scale projects of alternative energy that
really work.
6. In the area should not be placed deposits of fossil fuels, and its delivery to the region to
be associated with certain difficulties.
7. Place the Summer School should be readily available to the participants of the Summer
School could get into the area without too much difficulty and high financial costs.
All the above requirements perfectly match the Canary Islands, particularly the island of El
Hierro. There is absolutely all conditions to hold summer school on alternative energy.
Moreover, the climate of the Canary Islands allow conducts classes not only in summer but
also during the winter break students.
5. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS PROJECT.
On the island of El Hierro features a unique hybrid design hydroelectric power plant with wind
generators. Solved the basic problem of alternative energy - the possibility of energy storage.
Further, this project can be developed in all directions. For this project can add solar
photovoltaic power plants, wave generators, energy storage, compressed air, and so on.
Small island size allows wide use of electric vehicles. It is necessary to develop the
construction of ecological houses with minimal power consumption, decide with fresh water
provision problems dispose of waste. In fact, any renewable energy project can be
implemented on the island of El Hierro.
In fact, the practice of holding conferences, meetings of experts and summer schools is
already underway on the island of El Hierro. Dr. Gunter Pauli is already organized in 2016,
several meetings of experts on alternative energy El Hierro island. This is only the beginning.
Our team got in touch with Dr. Gunter Pauli and he approved this project and is ready to
assist in this matter.
At this point in time held talks with representatives of several universities in Russia, Ukraine
and Belarus. They all expressed great interest in this project. These countries are far behind
other European countries in the use of alternative energy. Today the share of renewable
energy in these countries does not exceed 1-2%. Naturally, these are the countries most
interested in studying the experience of the Canary Islands in this area. First of all we are
talking about practical experience in implementing similar projects, rather than theoretical
knowledge.

In addition, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus universities have a very limited budget for the
development of its material base. Students power specialties (including alternative energy)
are trained on legacy hardware of the last century. This greatly complicates the preparation
of high-level experts. These countries need a sudden jump in the use of alternative energy.
At the moment, our team starts to negotiate the time c guidance of the island El Hierro on
the possibility of this summer school.
Especially it should be emphasized that in recent years the Government of almost all
countries of the European Union are actively developing programs to attract promising start-
up. Carrying on El Hierro island summer school will actively promote the implementation of
this program.
