The EB-5 Visa Program
• Created in 1990 to encourage foreign investment in
the USA to create jobs and develop new business
• The fastest and easiest way to obtain permanent
  residency in the United States
• Possible to receive approval in just a few months
• Provides permanent residency qualified investors
• Invest directly into eligible businesses, or they can
  invest through a Regional Center.
Benefits of the EB-5 Visa Program
• One of the most flexible
  immigration programs in the world
• Permanent residency in the United
States for you, your spouse and any
  unmarried children under 21
• Can be eligible for U.S. citizenship
  after 5 years
• No Sponsorship required
• Not required to speak English
• No minimum education
  requirement
Benefits of the EB-5 Program
                            (continued)
•No business or management experience
requirement like with other countries
programs
•Not required to manage their investment
on a daily basis so you are free to pursue
other professional and personal ventures
•Not required to work while in the United
States, can be retired
•Allowed to live anywhere in the United
States, you do not need to live in the area
where the project is located
Are you qualified for the EB-5 Visa?
 1) The investor is required to invest $1 million USD unless the
investment is made in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA). If the
investment is in a TEA, the investment amount will be lowered to
 just $500,000 USD.
 2) The EB-5 investment must be used by the project to create 10
full time U.S. based jobs. If the EB-5 investment is through a
Regional Center, the job creation requirement can utilize both direct
and indirect job creation to prove they have met this requirement.
 3) The investor must demonstrate that the money they invest into
the EB-5 program is from legal sources (you must be able to show
 where the money came from)
 4) The EB-5 capital investment must be at risk
What qualifies as a T.E.A. or
          Targeted Employment Area?
When a project is located in a T.E.A. the amount of the required
investment can be reduced to only US$500,000

T.E.A. is defined as either a ―rural area‖ or an area with a population
under 20,000 people

Regional Center can also qualify for T.E.A. status is if the project is
located in an ―area of high unemployment‖ which is an area with an
unemployment rate equal to 150% of the national average

This designation must be determined by a licensed economist and
approved and verified by the State Government.
What is a Regional Center?
• A Regional Center is a private corporation or a regional
governmental agency with an investment program located in a
  defined geographic region
• The Regional Center must be approved by the United States
  Citizens and Immigration Services (USCIS)
• If investment is made through a Regional Center, the jobs
requirement includes both direct and indirect jobs, and the
approval of your visa can be much faster
• There are 10,000 green cards available each year through the
EB-5 Visa and at least 3,000 are set aside for the Regional
  Center designation
