The barcode is usually
at the bottom left or
right of the front page,
it shows the audience it
is different to other
magazines.
Title
The title shows the audience
the magazine is unique from
others, the title is normally
bold and in a bright colour
so it stands out on the page.
The title also shows the
magazine brand so people
notice it and recognise it on
shelves. The text of the front
cover is always unique to
any other text on the page.
Positioning Statement
Is usually featured under
the title and shows the
magazine off. The slogan
differs on every music
magazine.
Price
The price of the magazine
is usually hidden by the
barcode if it is expensive
so the audience don't
notice it, if the magazine is
cheap it is usually shown
off.Main Coverline
The anchoring text usually
relates to the artist on the
main cover and tells you
what the image is about.
Puffs
Puffs give you
information about
content inside the
magazine, they are
usually in the shape of a
circle and are a bright
colour to stand out.
Colour scheme:
There are usually 2-3 colours on
the front cover, these are usually
colours that go well with each
other, they also gives signs to
show what gender they are
appealing the magazine too.
Cover lines
Cover lines show what
will be featured inside
the magazine, they
intrigue the reader as
they appeal to the target
audience. They usually
run down the side of the
page.
