The poem describes a world torn apart by terrorism and war, where the earth is soaked with blood and filled with human carcasses. Though many preach love, peace and non-violence, the world now only remembers peace as violence and hatred seem to reign. The speaker questions if war can truly achieve peace and wonders when the world will find glory and gentle breezes instead of smoke. They express a desire to see a world free of terror before their death.
1. Peace
Some people who are abandoned from their life
By some terrorists, who have gun powder on their rifle,
And blood in the knife
Instead of water, the mother earth is soaked with blood.
Carcasses of human, flowing like flood.
I remembered once a man said
“Spread love and peace, and then gain it”
“The flame of hatred you should not lit “
But now, peace of the world is only a memory
I don’t know when the world would find its glory.
I do not know, instead of smoke when we will feel the gentle breeze.
Is it necessary to rage wars to attain peace?
I don’t know about the terrorist who kills the mankind.
This is the only cure which we can never find.
With their profession, they never part
They me feel proud whenever we say they have a “stone heart”.
Peace, peace and peace
The whole world craves for;
Which we may never see, for sure.
Blood and dead is spread everywhere,
Can it be possible to liberate this sphere?
Why can’t we live as one?
After all we all live under the same sun.
The sins from the world I may try hard to release
It doesn’t matter much, even when my heart throb may cease.
I want to see a world free of terror
Before I die
In the grave, before I lie.
