3. Aspects of Design
Logical Model:
To reference a bicycle as a metaphor, there’s a
logical notion that when I step my foot on the pedal,
the bike will move forward
4. Aspects of Design
Conceptual:
The conceptual model involves three elements;
platform, people and items. It’s the relation between
the different elements in the platform is what makes
the conceptual model.
5. Aspects of Design
Interaction:
How do I interact with the interface? What happens
when I click on something on my tablet or
smartphone? What’s the behavior? Does it open in
a new window, or does something slide out, does it
open a dialogue?
6. Aspects of Design
Information (layout):
What’s the hierarchy of things on the screen. As I’m
scanning the page, what do I come across first? Do
I find something that I think is what I need? Do I act
upon that, do I tap on that? What is at the
assumption you’re making to the users? Uncover
the actual needs and get your product in sync with
the expectations.
7. Aspects of Design
Visual:
The visual design is the aesthetics. Is it green, blue
or red, and what’s that icon? What’s the emotional
impact someone is having from the color schemes
and the interface they are looking at?
8. The Design Strategy
Make sure of:
1. Consistent messaging structure
2. One core color, tied to its parent site
3. Unified typography styles
4. Unified image sizes
9. Elements of Design
