TN Curriculum Standard:
4.0- Investigate the impact of political turmoil on American attitudes toward
governance since 1968.
Student goal- Explain the ideologies associated with liberalism and conservatism.
Directions: Use the process of elimination to find the correct choice for the statement
below.
Liberals believe that
A. the government should regulate the economy to protect people from the power
of large corporations and wealthy elite.
B. allowing people and businesses to make their own economic choices will generate
more wealth for all of society.
C. higher taxes and government programs stunt job creation.
D. social programs take away people’s desire look for meaningful work.
