               Battery cover (Replacement of battery possible by the user)

               • Supply with usual AA Alkali-Magana battery
                  Up to 60 h. operating time at delivery rate =< 10 ml/h
               • Optional Ni-Cd rechargeable battery Art. 34501690
                  Up to 10 h. operating time at delivery rate =< 10 ml/h
                 (Recharging time>16 hours, 3V technique, 650 mAh)

               When the battery is empty, a use of the device is possible under
                 constant supervision.
               Attention:
               No charging current on the battery connectors, therefore you may
                 not use rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries.

       Battery mode:
       • It's only allowed to insert alkaline manganese batteries into battery
         compartment!
       • Conventional carbon-cell batteries gives an incorrect reading of
         capacity

       Rechargeable battery mode
       • NiCd rechargeable batteries must not be connected to battery
         contacts because:- there is no delivery of charging current
                          - as their various physical properties disrupt alarm
       • Rechargeable battery pack is only allowed to be used when
         connected to intended special contacts!
       (Ni-CD battery pack available as accessory article No.: 3450 1690)

Supplement Instructions for use Perfusor compact S
Instruction for battery mode and alarm 022
Ex works the Perfusor compact S is equipped with four non-rechargeable standard
batteries (alkali-manganese).
Battery exchange only when device is switched off.
If the batteries are removed from the device during the running mode and
subsequently a new battery set is put in, the Perfusor compact S goes into alarm
(display message: “022” in combination with symbol alarm bell). This is a safety
precaution, as the electric safety system suspects a defect in the battery compartment
(e. g. loose contact or corroded contacts).
In order to switch off the alarm, press hand hold the ON/OFF-key at least for 3 sec,
until the alarm symbol in the display is extinguished. Release the key. Then again
switch on the device in battery mode.

The Seal's Meaning


          • Only use the Seal for B.Braun- Devices

          • The Seal number is exceptional for your Personal use (related on
            your name) and not transferable

          • The Seal number are only allowed to stick on Devices which you
            have been trained on (normally by a B|BRAUN certified Technical
            Trainer)

          • A virgin Seal upon the Device says that after your sealing, there
            weren't anyone who's opened it

The Handling of the Seal



      • After quitting the job as a Service engineer, please send us
        (Technical Training Dept.) an Information about it and destroy
        your remaining Seals
      • In the moment you are receiving a new Seal number all probably
        existing older Seal numbers on your name are invalid.
        Those older numbers are going to be deleted at BBraun
      • Eventually remaining invalid Seals have to be destroyed by yourself
      • If you change your employer, please mail your new companies
        complete address to your regional trainer.
      • Please order your Seals like you order your Spare Parts (when
        ordering, please write your Seal number as clear as possible)

             Operating alarms can be mute for 2 minutes. When the user
             remedy the failure, a restart of the therapy is possible.


             6.10.2 Device alarms
             Device alarms can‘t be quit. An audible alarm sounds
             permanently. Infusion will be stopped (patient safe state).

    displayed.


    Please find the error code of the function processor on the LCD
    Display. After pressing the F key you will find the error code of the control
    processor HC11 on LCD Display.


    For an efficient troubleshooting you need both error codes !

            Pressure inside the infusion system will be measured by a strain
            gauge located in the drive head.

            During calibration of the pressure sensor limiting values will be
            stored.

            In infusion mode there is a continuous monitoring and comparison
            of rated value and current value. In case of deviation pressure
            alarm will be given.

    device data is strictly needed.


   • Replacement of the E-module causes a lost of all stored data.
   • After replacement of the E-module, we recommend
     to set the default data
   • After replacement of the E-module, all user defined data must be set


   Device software is part of the E-module and can‘t be changed
      E-module change = software change

            loose of the cylindrical pin might be the reason.

            To avoid further damage please assemble a pin lock as follows:

             Service kit article No.: 34509100

             Starting with serial number 36326 this modification is already
               part of the production process.

           • Connect service cable to MFC and PC serial port
           • Select the right serial port Com1 or Com2 (only!)
           • Start service program on PC and initiate connection
           • Read EEPROM data
           • Change data on the PC (calibration, modification)
           • Write changed data back to EEPROM of the pump

        Write default data to the device!! (Default data contains the factory
        settings you need to activate a new E-module)
        Caution: Never try to read out data from new installed E- module
        otherwise you destroy it!

        Additional you must:
                               1. Set the serial number
                               2. Pressure calibration
                               3. Syringe size calibration
                               4. Length calibration
                               Unless writing back to EEPROM is impossible !

           only.

           Depending on the kind of test or calibration you have to use this

                               Pressure level 1   = 6 - 10 N
                               Pressure level 2   = 22 – 26 N
                               Pressure level 3   = 68 – 76 N

                               Pressure level 1   = 8 – 18 N
                               Pressure level 2   = 26 – 38 N

            the use of test gauge article 7703368 together with the metal
            angle and push button dummy article 7705050 is mandatory.

            Attention risk of injury!
            Never remove test gauge when using under tension. Always release
            gauge with the key sequence F 3 0 (service plug must be in
            position) See SM page 5-4

  • 21. 6.4.1 The back The Perfusor®compact S Supplement Instructions for use Perfusor compact S Instruction for battery mode and alarm 022 Ex works the Perfusor compact S is equipped with four non-rechargeable standard batteries (alkali-manganese). Battery exchange only when device is switched off. If the batteries are removed from the device during the running mode and subsequently a new battery set is put in, the Perfusor compact S goes into alarm (display message: “022” in combination with symbol alarm bell). This is a safety precaution, as the electric safety system suspects a defect in the battery compartment (e. g. loose contact or corroded contacts). In order to switch off the alarm, press hand hold the ON/OFF-key at least for 3 sec, until the alarm symbol in the display is extinguished. Release the key.
