1. PM: Is there a meaning behind
the name "Smiletron"?
Smiletron: No reason! Just
sounds good together. After five
or six years you're kinda stuck
with the name you've got. Haha
PM: What got you into beat
making?
Smiletron: I've been writing
music my whole life, but around
4 years ago I got into Logic and
haven't looked back.
3. I use Apple's Logic pretty
much exclusively for the ESX24
sampler and Ultrabeat drum
sampler. I also use Plogue
Chipsounds, an
emulator/synthesis deal for old
hardware.
PM: What type of equipment /
software do you use to make
your beats?

inspiring to you
recently?
Smiletron: Musically
inspiring... Well, the
greatest journey that
can be undertaken is the
journey into one's
soul, and that's what my
music is. An
understanding of myself
and the universe and
the happenings of life.
PM: Do you have a plan
for your music? if so
what is it?
Smiletron: I plan to keep
moving forward. Past
that, it's all chance.
