1. This overall appearance of this double page spread is very effective, as only three colours
have been used. The black background makes the white font stand out so that it is easy to
red, and the red makes the pages much bolder. The fact that the images used have been
edited black and white fits to this colour scheme. One large image has been used, and takes
up all of the first page, and three smaller images, which are at the bottom of the second page.
These images are of the band ‘My Chemical Romance’ which is what this double page spread
is all about. The main image shows the singer on stage, with his microphone, one of the small
images show the guitarist on stage, and the other two show the band recording a song in the
studio. These all link to the title of the pages, ‘We’re being the best MCCR we can be’, which is
a quote taken from the article. This is written across the top of the second page, and partly
on the first age. Then, underneath it is the article. On the right is a column which includes a
‘teaser’ of some songs. On the top left corner there is the Kerrang! website, where more news
can be found.
