Step One

 Make sure
microscope
is on low
power.
Get a
microscope
slide.
Step Three

Put the
slide on the
microscope
stage.
Step Four


Turn on the
microscope.
Step Five

Use the
coarse & fine
adjustment
knobs to
focus.
Step Six
Turn the
 nosepiece
 to medium
 power.
Step Seven

Use the fine
 and coarse
 adjustment
 knobs to
 focus.
Step Eight

Turn the
nosepiece
to high
power.
Step Nine
Use only the
 fine
 adjustment
 knob to focus.
           THIS ONE
Step Ten
Turn
 nosepiece
 back to
 low
 power.
Step Eleven
Take the
slide off of
the stage.
Step Twelve
Turn off the
 microscope
 and wrap
 the cord
 around the
 base.
Microscope Magnification
If you want to know how to figure out how you find the overall magnification of a
        microscope on high, medium, and low power all you do is multiply.
    For low power you would need to multiply 10 (the magnification on the
                eyepiece) by 4 (the magnification of low power).
  For medium power you would need to multiply 10 (the magnification on the
            eyepiece) by 10 (the magnification of medium power).
    For high power you would need to multiply 10 (the magnification on the
               eyepiece) by 40 (the magnification of high power).
