The Mark Rypien Foundation hosts an annual charity motorcycle ride called Ride the Bases to raise money for families dealing with childhood cancer in the Northwest. The most recent ride was the fourth annual event, taking place on August 16 and hosted by Lone Wolf Harley Davidson and the Spokane Indians minor league baseball team. The two-hour self-guided and family-friendly motorcycle ride ended at the Indians' baseball field, where attendees received a t-shirt and tickets to an Indians game that night. Proceeds from the ride benefited the Mark Rypien Foundation's efforts in assisting families affected by childhood cancer.
