Identity and Branding Development Colour
Colour Palette
The purple and green are supported by
a palette of colours distinct to Turning
Point Scotland, which bring a clean,
professional and contemporary feel to
all aspects of our communications. These
work tonally with the core colours and
should be used in all cases. Various tinted
values are recommended to compliment
the core and secondary colours.

06
Identity and Branding Development Logo variants
The white reversed version of the
identity can be used against all the
colours in the recommended palette.
For reasons of legibility, we suggest
that the tinted values are not used.
The single colour version of the
identity should only be rendered in
the core colours.

Identity and Branding Development Typefaces
FS Albert
The typeface Turning Point Scotland
Corporate Leaflets Design Standards is
FS Albert, which should be set in mixed
upper and lower case.
FS Albert is the only typeface to be used
for corporate leaflets.
Headings
These are set in FS Albert Bold.
Body text
This should be set in FS Albert.
Do:
• Set text in mixed upper and lower
case (never all upper case - even
with headings)
• Range text left (ragged right) and
never justified, or ranged right.
• Use a different type weight to
emphasise a word
• Ensure good colour contrast between
text and background colour.

Identity and Branding Development Things to avoid
The identity must always use one of the
correct Turning Point Scotland colours
highlighted in 04. The graphic and words
must always be proportionally scaled.
No modification can be made to either
the graphic or words, as any deviation
will undermine the status of the logo.
Some examples of incorrect usage are
illustrated here.

Sustaining, Growing and Developing Business
Sustaining Business
We will continue to provide and develop a range of services that meet people’s needs. In an increasingly
competitive environment, successfully tendering for existing and new services will be vital for
TPS’s future. This will involve being both pro-active and reactive. The personalisation agenda will provide
new opportunities for people to purchase services directly. We will remain competitive and local services
will explore a range of ways to maximise their capacity and develop economies of scale.

Identity and Branding Development Leaflets
Photography
Photography
Photography very strongly determines
the look and feel of a leaflet and the
‘visual voice of Turning Point Scotland’.
Its selection is therefore very important,
with specific brand and technical
requirements.
Technical requirements
• All photography must be owned by
Turning Point Scotland with full rights
across all media
• All photography must be available
at 300dpi
• All photography must be reproducible
at A4 in size without loss of
image quality
The content of the imagery is to reflect
Turning Point Scotland’s brand values of
being open, honest, direct and caring.
Images should therefore:
• Be closely cropped on the subject
• Be strong in colour
• Reflect the diversity of Turning Point
Scotland’s offering
