2. MY PERSONAL STORY
▪ I began working out at the age of 8. I have always been very interested in health,
and sports. I played college football at Northern Illinois University and graduated
with a Degree in Kinesiology
▪ After completing my undergraduate degree I worked as a personal trainer for
various companies: Motorola, Crunch, and Air Fitness
▪ I went on to complete a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine
▪ I am an avid practitioner of Yoga, Tai Chi, and Meditation and have taught classes in
each discipline.
3. RESEARCH TOPICS
▪ The title of the last research paper that I wrote was “The Validation of the use of
Ergogenic Aids.” In the paper I researched various ergogenic aids and tried to prove
if any did improve sports performance. I found that Caffeine, and Creatine were the
most beneficial Ergogenic Aids.
▪ If I choose a research topic today it would be on the beneficial effects that exercise
has on Depression.
▪ I presented a workshop at Motorola to employees on the benefits of exercise for
their specific population. I found a great deal of interest from the employees with
lots of excellent questions and feedbacks. They were particularly interested in how
to reduce lower back pain.
▪ I expect to become a better critique of articles which I use for research papers in
this course. I also expect to become more familiar with research terminology.
