Hurricane Barbara made landfall on the coast of Mexico in the state of Chiapas around 1250 PM PDT on May 29, 2013, about 20 miles west of Tonala, Mexico. Satellite images and Mexican radar from El Mozotal showed the eye of Barbara hitting land. At the time of landfall, Barbara had maximum sustained winds of 75 MPH and was moving northeast at 9 MPH, with a minimum central pressure of 990 MB.
