This document discusses a study on the effects of nutrients on microbial respiration in leaf litter. The study used a base trap method to measure microbial respiration under different nutrient conditions. The results showed that moisture content was the main driver of microbial respiration and that nutrients had no significant influence on the rate of respiration in the leaf litter layer.
