Splice is an easy to use mobile video editing app that allows users to crop, fast forward, and rewind videos on their mobile device. It also includes copyright-free music tracks to overlay on videos. The author used Splice to edit a video project after having technical issues opening camera files in iMovie on their computer. While convenient, one downside of Splice is watermarks from the app, like a GoPro logo, appearing in exported videos regardless of the camera used for filming.

2. What is Splice?
 Splice is an easy to use editing app available on the
app store that enables users to edit video on their
mobile device.
 The app also features copyright-free tracks that users
can put over there video as well as the functions of
cropping, rewinding and fast forwarding the videos.

3. Why I Edit With Splice
 As we featured technical problems with the original
camera’s files not opening in iMovie, meaning I
transferred them onto my iPhone and then edited the
Diary of a Day Shooting (Day 1) on the app.
 Aside from the ease of the app it also gave me more
experience with editing and will play a major role in the
editing as we begin to shoot more vlogs.

4. Problems With Spice
 Although the app is easy to use and saves a lot of time,
it does have its downsides, the major downside being
that the Go-Pro logo appears at the end of the video,
which in no way benefits us as we didn’t shoot on a Go-
Pro meaning it therefore didn’t make sense.
