EXECUTIVE SUMMERY
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. How does previous entrepreneurial failure
influence future entrepreneurship? More specifically, under what conditions do entrepreneurs who
kick back from failure do better in the next round? Drawing on the cognitive literature in
attribution and motivation, the research take away light on entrepreneurs’ reaction to failure and
the growth of their succeeding anticipate. Leveraging a survey database of new-anticipate founders
who started another business after previous failure experiences, the researcher investigate how
their internal attribution of the cause of failure, their internal motivation to start up another
business after failure, and the extent of their failure experiences impact the growth of their
succeeding anticipate. How often have the researcher heard that failure is a bottom of dignify for
entrepreneurs? That failure is an indication to success? That failure makes an entrepreneur more
acceptable because to learned on other people’s money? But do the people really know about the
role of failure, and how failure is translated into future entrepreneurial success? How do
entrepreneurs’ reactions to failure impact the performance of their succeeding anticipate? The
answer is that at this point the people know very little. Focusing on these crucial questions, the
researcher hope to take away some light on this important but understudied aspect of
entrepreneurship by examining the performance of new anticipate started after a prior
entrepreneurial failure. While most entrepreneurs hope to be successful, unfortunately, a majority
of their anticipate end in failure. Failure is a fundamental element in entrepreneurship. Indeed, it
is challenging that some but not all entrepreneurs come back from failure, and starts up another
business.

How does previous entrepreneurial failure influence future entrepreneurship? More specifically, under what conditions do entrepreneurs who kick back from failure do better in the next round? Drawing on the cognitive literature in attribution and motivation, the research take away light on entrepreneurs’ reaction to failure and the growth of their succeeding anticipate. Leveraging a survey database of new-anticipate founders who started another business after previous failure experiences, the researcher investigate how their internal attribution of the cause of failure, their internal motivation to start up another business after failure, and the extent of their failure experiences impact the growth of their succeeding anticipate.
