2. Borderlines …. It is not that identity must go hand in hand with geography, but an identity cannot be constructed based on what works better for geopolitical interests.

3. ‘Liberty’ as a façade Colonization, as a global phenomenon, was sparked by the pursuit of an exotic utopia. Unfortunately, as History has taught humanity more than once, utopias are unachievable, impossible in the sense that man is far too impatient to allow the time it takes to brew such a construction

Consequences Decolonization becomes symptomatic: continuity of colonialism, partition. -Development of social and ethnic disputes due to forced coexistence, acquiring abilities comparable to those of an animal bred in captivity. -Exaltation of localism -Culture: sense of unity over differences, that it is nonexistent unless it is contrasted and inserted into a broader reality

5. The dystopian reality It is obvious that something, anything, set out in the world with no foundations whatsoever but those of instability and the obstinacy of the proud, is bound to fail –at least initially- in yet another pursuit of utopia… so much for liberty.
