5. THE PROBLEM
• A concussion epidemic experienced by athletes, fitness enthusiasts and armed forces
members
• Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (C.T.E.) found in 99% of studied brains from deceased NFL
players as a result of both severe and/or repeated sub-acute blows
• Female athletes suffer concussions at a significantly higher rate than their male counterparts
(56% of female soccer players reported concussion symptoms but did not seek treatment)
• 4MM concussions sustained yearly in the United States alone, less than 5% result in a loss of
consciousness and more than 50% go undetected
• To date, no accurate and reliable means to detect, measure and record the factors that lead
to concussions and C.T.E.

6. THE SOLUTION
THE SMART CAP®
• Worn with or without a
helmet
• Lightweight, comfortable,
stylish (customizable
colors, logos)
DETECTS:
• Location, duration and
impact (g-forces)
• Rotational forces
• Head position
• Heart rate
• Body temperature
• Location of user (GPS)
DATA:
• Captured
• Stored to the cloud real
time
• Transmitted wirelessly
to a handheld device
6
7. TECHNOLOGY
• Not a concussion prevention or prediction device
• Entire cap acts as a sensor, ensuring data quality and coverage
• Incorporates proprietary pressure sensors in a stretchable fabric as well as commercial off the shelf
technology
• Solid State (confined entirely within solid material)
• Successfully completed qualified testing using "gold standard" piezoelectric sensors
• Washable, durable, rechargeable, accurate, reliable
• Alerts coaches, trainers, parents and medical personnel to number of hits received and severity
(recorded to create a personal head health database)
