Competitive Advantage A firm’s Competitive Advantage is its ability to create and deliver value to its customers in ways that are distinct from and superior to its competitors. Competitive advantage stems from a firm’s distinct ability to perform an activity or a set of activities differently or better than its competitors. These activity(ies) are the ones that are critical to the firm’s ability to deliver value. Competitive advantage usually results in superior revenues, profits, or both, for the firm, vis a vis its competitors. Adapted from: Barney, J.
