1. Profile of Win Myint Law
Win Myint Law obtained his AGTI Diploma in Mining Engineering from the Government Technical
Institute (Kalaw) in 1971. He then joined Ragoon Institute of Technology (RIT) (NOW YTU) where
he obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) in 1979.
After his graduation he held a number of management positions for various industries and
corporations. Some of the outstanding positions include: Mineral Exploration Engineer for Technical
Services Corporation form 1979 to 1981 (Minerals exploration at Pang Pet and Kong Kaw Projects);
Production Engineer for Ceramic Industry Corporation from 1981 to 1982 (Marble Production at
Sagin); Exploration Engineer for Technical Services Corporation from 1982 to 1989 (Nickel
Chromite Exploration, Tagaung Taung ECAMS Project and Gold exploration, Uyu River and Upper
Chindwin ECAMS Project); Safety Advisor for Compagnie Generele de Geophysique from 1990 to
1991 (Geo-seismic survey) and Managing Director for Yar Zar Thi Ha Co.Ltd. from 1992 to 2002.
(Soil and Hydrogeology Investigation). From 2002 to 2011 he worked as a private consultant in the
field of Mineral Exploration, Logistics and Mining in Myanmar.
He is a Fellowship Member of Myanmar Engineering Society (MES) and a Vice Chairman of
Technical Division (Mining) in MES. He holds an Asean Engineer Registered ASEAN Engg. (2004)
awarded by the Asean Federation of Engineering Organization (AFEO). He is a full member of
International Council of Management Consulting Institute (ICMCI) holding a certificate of Certified
Management Consultant (CMC) (2013) awarded by the Institute of Management Consultants
Association of Thailand (IMCT).
He is currently a Consultant Engineer in Mineral Resources Development and Engineering (MRDE)
Unit at Electrum Services Company, specializing in Mineral Exploration, Logistics and Mining and is
also a visiting lecturer in Mining Engineering Department at YTU.
