2. Best Breakfast in Waikiki
Waikiki, located beyond the popular Hawaii, is a little island on its own,
similar to Hawaii in many ways, one being that it too sees tourists all year
long. The lovely palm trees swaying in the breeze, miles and miles of
beautiful beach, the lovely warm sun lighting everything up with its
warmth...it is no wonder that it is a tourist’s paradise.
Food is important to travelers and being a tourist destination, there are a
whole lot of restaurants and a few great options are available, but here
are a few that hit the favorite list.
Dukes are famous for its breakfast buffet at a great price.
3. Willows:
Offers a great Sunday brunch. It is just past Waikiki, near Utah. Reputed
for its wonderful atmosphere as well as its great food. Offers a chance to
sit and enjoy a few moments in the Hokulea, which is a full-scale replica of
a Polynesian double-hulled voyaging canoe!
Sheraton Hanohano Room:
The familiar Sheraton, flavored with Hawaii. Sheraton Hanohano offers a
great brunch on Saturday mornings. You get to enjoy a fabulous panoramic
view lounging having breakfast, and you also get to also to sit in on a live
radio show. The buffet brunch is not exactly reasonable fare, but
considering that it’s a buffet and that it is a late breakfast, it’s worth it.
The Pacific Beach Hotel Oceanarium Restaurant:
As its name goes has a view of the Ocean. You get to watch manta rays,
sharks, and an assortment of whatever fish choose to pass by this huge
aquarium as you enjoy your meal. There's a good buffet spread.
4. Egg N' Things:
Eggs n things offer a great range of pancakes! Coconut syrup
accompanying Macadamia nut pancakes is a hot favorite. Omelets are
another hit. Freshly squeezed juices are available in small and large
servings.
You could try your luck for their Early bird special of three pancakes and
two eggs at $3 if you get there before 9:00 and then again during the slow
hours after 1:00 p.m, but it’s a long wait and you may not get through in
time. Even normally, there is a bit of a wait to be served and for those that
want to enjoy their famous menu without the wait, visiting on weekdays is
a great option. For those that don’t mind the wait, its consistently great
food and varied menu makes the wait worthwhile!
5. Lulus:
A very different kind of hotel with a beachy surfer dude set up. Guests are
seated over looking Kalakaua Avenue, which is right across Waikiki beach.
The great view from there, coupled with an amazing breakfast make for a
great spot to be. They serve a whipped cream - Macadamia nut pancake
accompaniment, with walnuts and sliced bananas.
The guava juice comes highly recommended. If that is not enough, it is
served in a unique and beautiful setting with a lovely fresh orange slice
and a most likely just picked orchid.
Dinner would be a special treat here, with real dried blowfish that make
up part of the lighting!
