   Background sound in diegesis
   Does not have to be in the field of vision =
    crowd in restaurant.
   Out of field of vision = traffic outside
The sound of the audience
applauding and cheering
within the diegesis.
   Sounds added to the visuals in the editing.
   If a character is standing further away, their
    voice is at lower pitch.
   If a character is standing up close, their voice
    is at a normal pitch.
The voice of the crowd and
the host of the show is low.




 When Katniss gets on to the
 stage, the sound of the
 crowd (ambient sound) is
 louder.
   Where sound (diegetic or non diegetic)
    continues across one or more cuts/trans
    called bridge.
The sound of
audience
applauding and
cheering continues
from one cut to
another cut
(continue editing).
   Sounds that the characters can hear
   Sound that comes from a person or object in
    the diegesis and seen within the field of
    vision.
   It can be unseen.
   Voice over (1st person).
The host of the show
asks her questions.

Katniss is able to
retaliate because he
within vision of field
thus, she is able to
hear him.
