It’s nice to feel that you get enough light and air in your house
thanks to your gorgeous two-story windows. But you keep on
thinking that your two-story windows need something. And that
“something” is going to cut a chunk off your next vacation. So,
you put off your windows decorating project month after month.
Am I right?
If you enjoy your high ceiling living room but struggle with
figuring out budget-friendly choices for the two-story curtains, I
hope that this checklist will be helpful.
1. Combine sheer panels with solid color panels.
By sewing a sheer panel that you place on top with
another fabric for the bottom of the window, you will
allow the light in the room on the upper level and still
maintain privacy on the ground floor. This look is quite

2. Use panels only on the lower part of the windows.
You do not have to cover the upper level of the two story great
room or a living room. Sometimes, it makes sense to use panels
on the lower windows only.
3. Use sheer curtains for the two-story window.
If the room has beautiful arches and outside views, there is no
need to hide them. You can select a fabric tone that is close to
the wall color. This will make the room feel open and airy.
