2. JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY
 He was the thirty- fifth American President. Even
though he was the youngest president ever to be
elected he knew what to do for his people.

3. BACKGROUND AND EARLY YEARS
 Kennedy was born in Brookline, Massachusetts on May
29, 1917.
 He was a child out of nine children, and his parents
were named Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald.

4. BACKGROUND AND EARLY YEARS
 When the time to apply for university came, John, got
admitted into Harvard University.
 Kennedy graduated from Harvard University with a
Bachelor in Science.

5. BACKGROUND AND EARLY YEARS
 During World War II, he served in the US Navy, and a
Japanese boat cut John´s boat in half, almost killed
everyone and hurt John´s back badly. He still saved his
surviving crew, for which he was later rewarded with a
medal.

6. BACKGROUND AND EARLY YEARS
 He was elected to the US Congress in 1946, and the US
Senate in 1952.

7. MARRIAGE
 He married Jacqueline Bouvier on September 12, 1953.
The couple had three children.
 One of their children was born premature and died 3
days later from hyaline membrane disease.

8. PRESIDENCY
 On January 20th,1961, he became President of the
United States.
 He also created a plan called the New Frontier. This
was a series of government programs, such as urban
renewal, to help poor and working class people.

9. PRESIDENCY
 He made the Peace Corps to help poor countries all
over the world.
 He agreed to a large tax cut to help the economy.
 He also called for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which
would make discrimination and segregation illegal.

10. DEATH
 On Friday, November 22nd ,1963, JFK was shot by Lee
Harvey Oswald. He was announced dead at 1pm. The
President´s dead led America into shock.
 Oswald denied shooting anyone and was killed two
days later on November 24 by Jack Ruby

11. The whole world still sees JFK as one of
the best presidents of all times.

12. “A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but
an idea lives on.”
