2. • I have had some pets in my life, some of them,
but not all of them, were dogs. Other pets
that I remember I had were hamsters, fish and
birds. I never had cats as pets.
• For me the best pets are dogs, I had four dog
pets in my life.

3. My dachshund Frida
The first dog that I had was Frida, she was a
dachshund, in Spanish it is called “perro
salchicha”. It was a little short-legged dog
with an elongated body. We adopted Frida
with her own name because she was an adult
dog and we continued calling her by the
name given by the previous owner. She was
with us a for a few years.

4. My dachshund Frida
One day she became sick and she died. We aren’t sure but we
think that she was poisoned by someone; we suppose that
because Frida used to bark a lot and perhaps a neighbor, tired of
Frida’s barking, decided to poison her. God sure knows, it was very
sad to lose Frida. 4
5. Patsy my boxer the best
After Frida, another dog came to brighten my
life. My brother, my sister and I called her
Patsy. Patsy was a she boxer and she arrived
with only a few weeks old. Patsy was
adorable, a loving dog, we played a lot with
her. Patsy was very important for me. She
lived fourteen years; she was one of the
most important companions when I was a
teenager. Patsy died of breast cancer after
several surgeries. After Patsy I didn’t want to
have any more pets.

6. Patsy my boxer the best
(In the photo, which was taken by my father in 1970, I was 14 years old . In
this picture I’m with my lovely Patsy with my scout French uniform and also
with my other love, my guitar.)

7. Ice
When I got divorced, I was living alone and (before I
married Rachel), my youngest daughter Giselle asked
me if I could take care of her pet called Ice. Ice was a
beautiful Siberian husky dog. The problem with Ice was
that she howled a lot, like a wolf, and my ex-wife was
having problems with the neighbors because of that.
She had decided that Ice couldn’t live with them. That
is why Giselle desperately asked me to adopted Ice
and I accepted. Thanks God in my house Ice didn’t howl
as she did in my ex-wife’s house, she only made huge
holes in the garden, her behavior in general was very
good.

8. Ice

One day, painters, who were
working at home, left the front
door open to carry in some
materials and Ice ran out.
We never found Ice again. We
looked for her a lot, we put an
ad in the entire neighborhood
but nobody called us. My
daughter Giselle and I were
very sad for Ice’s
disappearance. (In the photo
we can see Ice with my
youngest daughter Giselle and
my son Santiago at my parents’
weekend house in San Vicente.)
9. Pandy
My current pet is called
Pandy, she is a Siberian
husky dog too.
We bought her by Internet.
She arrived at home with
only a few weeks old. I
think that with Pandy I
tried to repair the loss of
Ice. Pandy is six years old.
(In the photo on the left
we can see Pandy with my
youngest daughter Giselle
and my son Santiago in
Bella Vista. In the nex
photo on the we can see
Pandy, with Rachel, Giselle
and me in Miramar in
winter in a snowy day .)

10. Pandy

Like my other pets, Pandy is
warm, but unlike my other
dogs, Pandy sometimes has
violent reactions. That is why
we need to take more care
with her to prevent
accidents or problems.
Usually, she is a funny and
friendly dog. Something
funny is when an ambulance
or a police or a fire truck
passes by my house’s door
or near my house, she
usually howls, perhaps she
thinks it is a friend of hers ….
12. My Pets
We usually, go with my wife Rachel to
take a walk with our dogs at night.
They are part of our family and they
brought happiness to my family and
we love them.
I love a lot pets, but I will never love
one again as I loved my boxer Patsy.
