2. Why?
• Its every parent's worst nightmare — you turn around for just a second, turn back and
your child is gone. Thankfully, they can usually be found quickly in the immediate
vicinity, but in a location like Disney World, it is easy to get lost.
• When large groups split-up, often no one realizes that the child is "missing" until the
group reconvene, so the child may remain "lost" for quite some time.
• Reportedly, on an average about 11 kids get separated from their guardians every 30
minutes in Disneyland.
• As a 3 year old little girl I was once separated from my parents in a crowded Indian
market, for over 3 hours. It’s my worst childhood memory!

5. • Panic when a child is lost.
• Contact a uniformed staff immediately.
• Want to make sure the separated child does not leave the premises.
• Want to get continuous updates on the search and other information.
• Explain to the child to contact a uniformed staff in case he is separated.
• Having a latest photograph of the child from that day, is just a matter of chance.
• Most children do not carry a device.
• Often use a map (on phone or a printed one) when at a large public place.
