 Comparative form expresses the idea of ‘more’

           But his car is faster.

      How is a ‘comparative’ form built?

 one syllable adjectives   long er
 two syllable adjectives
            ending in -y
                           funnier

    other two and three
     syllable adjectives

for example ‘good’ and
                  “bad”    worse
Spelling note:
              If the adjective ends in:
 consonant + vowel + consonant (cvc) double the last
             consonant before adding “er”
