The grasslands are located in Asia, south
America, Africa and Australia.
Grassland are also known as savanna. In a grassland, there
will be many grass but just a few trees. All trees are somewhere
beside water.
•Covered by grass
•Grass can be 1-2 meters tall
•Not much rain
•Have many large animals, bison
•Population decrease or increase when their habitat changes
•Grasslands are usually warm
• Grasslands are mostly near the equator
•Many wildfire during winter
•Very few trees
Rain fall: up to 130 cm a year
Weather for summer: -40° F
Weather for winter : 70° F
Summer can last for 6-8 months
Do you know, over 40% of the animals in the
   grassland are mammals?
•Bison
•Antelope
•Prairie dogs
•Wolves
•Coyotes
•Lion
•Zebras
•Giraffes
•Baboons
•Elephant
•Rhinoceroses
•Gazelles
Lions are strong predictor, they lives in the
grassland.
        How can lions survive in the grassland?
•With it’s deadly claws
•They live in a pack
•They have a strong hunting skills
•With it’s size( big)
•With speed
•With their swimming skills
•Knows how to swim
•Works in a group
How can zebra survive even though they are almost
         the bottom of the food chain?
•Can reproduce faster
•Have more food
•Stripes that makes predictor dizzy when the zebra runs
•Runs fast
•Knows how to swim
•Works in a group
All the animals in the grassland can survive because
they are all native to there. They also work well with each
other. For example, the elephant eats the tree. The
giraffes eats the leaves on the tree. The zebras eats the
grass on the ground. The bison eats the taller grass.
Finally, the lion eats those grass-eaters.
