This unique necklace grew around a robin’s egg blue pendant stamped with birds. The leaf connectors and leather
evoke the image of a tree, while the mixture of stone, pearl, and silver beads add to the organic feel of the piece.
Step 1: Attach the beading wire to the bottom hole of 1 leaf
MATeRIALS
connector using a crimp tube.
2 smoky topaz 4mm rondelles
Step 2: String 1 erinite crystal, 1 lampworked bead, 1 lemon
1 sage 4mm potato pearl
quartz, 1 leaf charm, the pearl, 1 Pacific opal crystal, 1 leaf
2 erinite 6mm Swarovski crystal rondelles
charm, 1 smoky topaz, 1 spacer, the pendant, 1 spacer, 1
2 Pacific opal 8mm Swarovski crystal rondelles
smoky topaz, 1 leaf charm, 1 lemon quartz, 1 lampworked bead,
2 lemon quartz 7mm rondelles
1 erinite crystal, 2 spacers, 1 Pacific opal crystal, 1 crimp
2 PMC-capped 14mm lampworked beads
tube, and the bottom hole of the other leaf connector. Pass
1 polymer clay 35mm bird pendant
back through the tube and crimp.
4 sterling silver 4–6mm irregularly shaped spacers
Step 3: Form a loop at one end of a 13 piece of leather cord
3 pewter 10×15mm leaf charms
and wrap it with 2 of 22-gauge wire to secure. Tie a knot
2 pewter 12×20mm bird beads
about 1 from the other end of the piece of leather, string
2 pewter 12×32mm “Love Life” leaf connectors
1 bird bead, and tie another knot to secure it. Use 2 of
2 sterling silver 2mm crimp tubes
22-gauge wire to form a wrapped loop that attaches to the top
26 of 2.5mm leather cord

8 of sterling silver 22-gauge wire

8 of .019 beading wire
