Conserving The Eclectic Style
The Kodriansky House is a landmark
unlike any otherand an authentic
connection to Tel-Aviv’s past.
Built in the Eclectic style, which
emerged at the beginning of the
20th century and which combined
both Eastern and Western influences.
It was characterized by classic European
architecture with Oriental motifs that
included diverse mix of ornaments
and decorations elegantly fused with
symmetrical design and geometric
shapes, as well as the use of pillars,
domes, arches and palm trees.

The Architects
Eliezer Yellin and Wilhelm Hecker worked
together For 25 years as partners both passed
away in 1945. They built several important
buildings in Jerusalem, among them the Talma
Yellin house in Rehavia. Both were active in
planning several neighborhoods such as
Rehavia. Most of their 1920s buildings are
cubical with an arcade integrating columns
with Assyrian tops.

Landmark. Its complex preservation
is being conducted by renowned
conservation and preservation experts.

Kodriansky House has been restored,
refined and preserved.
