2. BRIEF DESCRIPTION
• This film shows of a post-apocalyptic world where poverty strikes globally. Everyone’s
fighting to survive. Smugglers and bandits are formed and create havoc, kill people and
steal their goods. The story is based on a spoilt teenager named Ryan who came from a
rich background before the post-apocalypse. His parents were both lawyers, in which a
case with a murderer/assassin turned bad, with the murderer convicted and wanting
revenge. they were assassinated but luckily Ryan escaped. The post-apocalypse occurs.
Ryan, 5 years later, is now homeless, seeking revenge, and becomes involved with a
gang, selling and bringing in goods that are stolen, he asks if they can track down this
assassin so he can have his revenge. However, a deal goes haywire and Ryan is accused
for it. Now he is running for his life, alone…
3. NARRATIVE
• Equilibrium – Ryan lives with his parents, who are lawyers, and comes from a rich
background. Everything goes as normal until one of his father’s cases goes bad. The
convict imprisoned and wanting revenge. the convict is an assassin. He is released on
bail, and kills Ryan's parents.
• Dis-equilibrium – the post apocalypse occurs, with the world going haywire. 5 years down
the line, Ryan is now seeking revenge, and becomes involved with a gang, that causes a
lot of mayhem. A deal that Ryan is part of turns bad and Ryan is now accused for this. He
is now an enemy and has to run away. Later on he stumbles across a girl, who tags along
with him, and helps him to find this assassin.
• New equilibrium – Ryan finds the assassin, they fight and the assassin is killed. Ryan and
the girl Amy find some survivors and spend their lives rebuilding an area and living it out.
4. ACTORS AND ACTRESSES?
• Actors and actresses that could be used such as Freddie Highmore,
Jason Statham, Ray Winston, keira knightly. I wanted to use more
British actors because the setting is set in the UK. It will be useful to use
these actors since they are well known and good for high grossing of the
film.
5. DIRECTOR?
I would like to have Francis Lawrence for a director. He
directed I am Legend, and Constantine.
6. TARGET AUDIENCE
• The target audience will be more or so teenagers and young adults round 16-25 years
old. This is more a masculine film so it will be targeted at men.
7. BUDGET AND INCOME?
• This film will take £5 - £10 million to make, considering the effects, actors and actresses
and settings.
• If the film is successful, I reckon that the income nationally for the year will be at least £10
- £15 million. Internationally approximately £25 - £50 million for the year.
8. RELEASE DATE?
• If this film is good enough to make, possibly release date will be round autumn 2013.
