“Traditions around the World”

INTRODUCTION:

There are some traditions and celebrations which are common and celebrated in most of the countries in some specific dates.
However, costumes, clothes, dances, and typical activities vary from one country to another. To illustrate the foregoing, one may
wonder if Chile and the USA share the same practices to celebrate Christmas. What about the New Year’s celebrations between
Japan and Mexico? Well, now you have the opportunity to research about celebrations around the world.

Then, can you think in a special celebration for you? Which would be the most important elements of this celebration?
Now, you can create your own special celebration. You will choose the date, the reason and the most important elements.

You will present it to the class using a PowerPoint presentation.

4. Each student will be assigned one topic to research about it in each country on the Internet using the resources provided.

Student 2: Traditions
Student 3: Food
Student 4: Clothing
5. You will write the information you find on the chart in the research worksheet
