  1. Namaskar, welcome to SUNDÃRI (Sanskrit: a beautiful woman) At SUNDÃRI, we define beauty in terms of a journey and not an end point. This brief introduction invites you to share this journey with us. Glossary: Namaskar – Sanskrit: Salutation to the divine in you
  2. SUNDÃRI is inspired by Ayurveda - the traditional healing science of India. (Ayurveda - Sanskrit: Science of life) Ayurveda offers a holistic approach to wellness which includes diet, yoga, meditation, massage, daily routine, etc. SUNDÃRI offers a holistic approach to beauty. Products and treatments work synergistically to reduce oxidative stress. Beautiful skin is the result of topical product application as well as relaxation inducing features of our spa treatments. The mind body connection in aging has been rediscovered by modern science. It is well known now that how you think and feel has a direct impact on the body’s immune response. Scientific research has highlighted that stress is linked directly to accelerated aging with collagen and elastin protein breakdown, skin wrinkling, acne, hair loss, etc. At SUNDÃRI, we believe that beauty and well-being are inter-connected and beautiful skin is merely a reflection of a state of being well. Hence, the desire for beauty is also a journey towards well being.
  3. SUNDÃRI Sri brings in key elements from Ayurveda together to offer a unique spa experience for the client. The facial treatments includes Marmasage i.e. stimulation of marmas, body treatments include Abhyanga. We offer sensory elements e.g. herbal tea, music, table drape/sarong, scented candles that work together to elevate the treatment experience. Wellness messages are offered as a take-home for the client to aid in education.

Talk points about traditional ingredients - SUNDÃRI uses traditional ingredients like – Neem (Melia Azadirachta), Gotu Kola (Centella Asiatica), Amalaki (Emblica Officinalis), Turmeric (Curcuma Longa), etc. SUNDÃRI has been recognized in the industry for its product formulations e.g. Shape Magazine’s Natural Beauty Award. These traditional ingredients have interesting anecdotes around them e.g. 1. According to legend, the Bengal Tiger would roll on the plant to heal its wounds, and this earned Gotu Kola the Indian name of "Tiger's Grass". 2. In Ayurveda, Shatavari is traditionally used by women for overall health and vitality, and interestingly, as an aphrodisiac. In Sanskrit, the word Shatavari means ‘She who possesses 100 husbands’. Source of ingredients The source of our ingredients is important to us e.g. Sandalwood oil is from renewable sources in India, Shea Butter is organic and fair trade, Organic Gotu Kola is from Madagascar, etc. History of ingredients Our traditional ingredients have long history of efficacy e.g. Gotu Kola for topical application to firm skin. This history of thousands of years reassures us about the safety and efficacy of these ingredients.

  6. The education team is lead by our Director of Education – Lisa Capozio. Lisa is a nutritionist, Licensed Massage Therapist, Esthetician and Holistic Lifestyle Educator. She has 19 years in the health, wellness and spa industry. She has been a Spa Director in the past, managing large spas and makes every education event into a learning opportunity.
  7. Our 360 degrees approach helps business by creating several ‘pull’ and ‘push’ initiatives. The pull initiatives are directed to create demand and awareness and these include consumer advertising and merchandising tools. Our push initiatives include product samples, sales promotions and GWPs, gift bags and staff incentive programs. Point of sale display materials include – Counter top display unit, counter top poster, wall poster, shelf talkers, product catalog, etc.
  8. Our 360 degrees approach helps business by creating several ‘pull’ and ‘push’ initiatives.
