2. Project Details
Low Reynolds number flow, over thick symmetric airfoil - In this project we are studying
the flow over NACA0018 airfoil with smooth surface and dimpled surface and find out the
advantage at low speeds. It has been observed the values of Cl and Cd has better performance
with dimple. From the stability point of view, for negative AOA standard airfoil is more
stable and for positive AOA ,dimple airfoil is more stable.
Mini - Project for IIT/NIT competitions - I was in a team of four where we built a
hovercraft with minimum cost with good operating time. It was different from conventional
design, it was a circular design. It was capable of moving on any surface with a good speed.
It had a very good Thrust/weight ratio. This design was build after doing a proper research of
4 months. It was continuously tested by making use of homemade to industrial materials to
reduce the cost and improve the performance. The design is so compact that it can be easily
carried anywhere with an ease.
