3. TO BE FILLED WITH GOD’S WILL (V. 9)
Paul writes to combat heresy in church
Paul prays that believers would be “filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual
understanding.”
Clarity of God’s Word being muddied with thoughts or trends in society.
One tactic of the enemy is confusion.
Victorious living happens when we are filled with godly wisdom

4. TO WALK IN GOD’S WAYS (V. 10)
Daily walk - Thoughts, Attitudes, and Choices are moving us
toward God or away from God. Paul prays for believers to walk
Worthily - Prays for others to put that knowledge into practice.
Fruitfully - Paul teaches us to ask God for fruitfulness in the lives of
brothers and sisters in Christ.
Maturely -Wouldn’t you love for someone to pray that you would know
God more? When we are at a crossroads in life, the answer is always
going to be more of God.

5. TO BE STRENGTHENED BY GOD’S POWER (V. 11–12)
Paul’s request is for the faithful in Christ to be “strengthened with
all might, according to His glorious power.” God-given power
enables us to be:
Patient - Toward things or circumstances that is beyond our control. Part
of our intercession for others should include support for circumstances
that may be weighing them down.
Long-suffering - Patience toward people
Thankful - Take our eyes off of the momentary troubles and see the
eternal perspective.
