Editor's Notes

  1. From __________ (date) to __________ (date) the __________ (department) has given CDA assessments for the __________ subject(s).
  2. Say this: “For the __________ (subject), the proficiency rate for students at LSHS is __________ (percent).” This can be overall (even though its not reported on the graph) It’s not necessary to say each teacher and what their score was. Think about your audience and presentation skills. Report out only the current CDA(s). It gets too crowded if more than a couple CDAs are reported on same graph. In other words, do not do a running graph of all CDAs. Right click, then select Edit Data. You may need to delete or add teachers to the data.
  3. Say this: “For the __________ (subject), the average score for students at LSHS is __________ (raw score).”This can be overall (even though its not reported on the graph) It’s not necessary to say each teacher and what their score was. Think about your audience and presentation skills. Report out only the current CDA(s). It gets too crowded if more than a couple CDAs are reported on same graph. In other words, do not do a running graph of all CDAs. Right click, then select Edit Data. You may need to delete or add teachers to the data.
  4. Say this: “When comparing these assessment scores to previous scores, they have __________ (increased, decreased, or remained the same) when comparing the same CDA for the past three years.” It’s not necessary to say each year and what the score was, just whether there was a change and what the change is. Think about your audience and presentation skills.
  5. Say this: “When comparing these assessment scores to other schools in our district, our students performed (higher or lower) than __________ (school(s)).” **Percent Reporting: Do not report to the group each time, but be prepared to explain if there are issues with the reporting status (i.e. only a low number of student results are reporting from other schools)
  6. Say this: “When comparing the CDA proficiency scores to our district, our students performed (higher or lower) than the county.” This should just give an overall picture of how the year looks in comparison to the county scores. You will need to adjust the CDAs as you go. For instance, at the beginning of the year, you will ony show CDA 1 and then you will add to it as the year progresses.
  7. Say this: “This information has impacted instruction in the following ways __________ (instructional strategies).”
  8. Say this: “In summary, this is linked to our school improvement through the follow ways __________. Our next steps are __________ (action steps) and we expect __________ (results).”
