1. The Milwaukee Difference
The Impact That TV
is Having On Forming
Our Society -by Michaela Klimko
Today’s TV shows are influencing
our generation of youth to be the same, to
shun those who are different. Shows
are making it seem okay to be hateful to
others, and to make yourself look like
trash, which is ruining the minds of teens
and kids. Why is this happening? How
can the government just look this over
as an non-important issue? Considering
that this generation holds our future
politicians, our future president,
this comes off as a cosmic problem in the
United States. If the government could
actually control the shows that are put
for kids and teens to view, this problem
wouldn’t exist. War and the economy
are not the only problems in the United
States and it is time that the government
shows more concern for other problems
in our country. We need to take these Reality TV ( Bad Girls Club)
repulsive shows off the listings permanently,
and the only way we will be able to achieve
this is if the government actually pays attention to the so called “less
important issues”. Without governmental support this plan is not possible. All we need
is to be able to find alternative shows to air on television instead of “reality” shows,
shows with a positive influence on today’s youth. If we had television shows that could
show our youth multiple ways of to have fun without acting horrible to others, then our
population would slowly form back into what it once was before this string of trash hit
public television.
