5. It is cleared by the above mention description by Charka and Shusruta Samhita(Su Ni5/33-34) that COVID-19 is
consider as Janapadaddhvamsa.
This COVID-19 is also human self-made disaster due to our own sins. As told earlier to prevent
Janapadaddhvamsa, the usage of Rasayana therapy, Panchkarama procedures, Sadvritta (code of right conducts)
and Aachara Rasyana,Dhupana chikitsa,Vada chikitsa
In Astang Hrudya the term”Sanchariroga”has been used for the disease that communicates from person to
person.
6. COVID-19:An Ayurvedic Perspective
COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by newely discovered coronavirus which is single stranded RNA
genome and has a helical symmetry. Coronaviruses are zoonotic. A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that
has not been identified in humans previously.(Modern Science)

Ayurved firms the belive that “Prevention is better than cure”. Ayurvedic literature
mentioned todays situation so many years back and in Janapadoddwansa clearly
indicates the clear benefits of sadvritta and other daily regimens mentioned to be
followed religiously along with Rasayan and Panchkarma therapy to gain helalth and
regain whats lost in disease.Because Ayurved is more than just a lifestyle,its
living.So,Role of Ayurved In COVID-19 proves to be boon for the society and
mankind.
