Nephrotic Syndrome is a health disease related to the kidneys, but it’s not a disease in itself but
a group of a large number of health complications that appear together. Mainly, this syndrome
takes place when the glomeruli (filtering unit) in the kidneys get damaged. Glomeruli are the
filtering section of the kidneys that helps kidneys in performing their blood filtration task. So,
when this section of the kidneys gets affected, many severe complications can take place in the
kidneys. The topmost complications of Nephrotic Syndrome are:
• Excess protein leakage from the body through the urine
• Decreased protein level in the blood
• Increased level of cholesterol in the blood
• Swelling in hands, feet or legs

When the condition of Nephrotic Syndrome occurs, one may notice many other complications
due to which several body symptoms can appear. Some of those are:
• Weakness all the time
• Nausea & Vomiting
• Swelling in the body
• Abnormal weight gain due to fluid accumulation
• Excess protein leakage in the urine
• Reduced appetite
• Puffiness around the eyes area
A few more symptoms can also be seen in the condition of Nephrotic Syndrome. Ayurvedic
medicine or treatment for Nephrotic Syndrome helps in getting rid of these symptoms by
curing this disease.
Nephrotic Syndrome occurs due to any problem in the filters of the kidneys. When kidneys get any
factors or health conditions that put adverse effects on the health of the kidneys, they may get
damaged; especially their filters. As a result, the condition of Nephrotic Syndrome takes place.
Many factors/ health conditions are responsible for developing Nephrotic Syndrome. Some of the
major causes are:
• Diabetes
• Increased blood pressure or hypertension
• Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS
• Minimal change disease
• Focal Segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS)
• Membranous Nephropathy
• Amyloidosis
Some other factors can also be responsible for causing damage in the filtering part of the
kidneys; thus they are also the causes of Nephrotic Syndrome.
Nephrotic Syndrome is a severe kidney disease that can progress to kidney failure if it is neglected
or undetected. So, timely detection of the disease will help a person in finding the best treatment.
For detection of Nephrotic Syndrome, one can take the help of some tests.
• Urinalysis- This test reveals the amount of protein present in the urine.
• Blood tests- These tests help in determining the level of creatinine, albumin, urea, and uric
acid in the body.
Source : Why should one prioritize Ayurvedic medicine for the treatment of Nephrotic Syndrome above all?
• Screenings- Renal Ultrasound, CT Scan, are MRI are the screening tests that provide
pictures of the internal structure of the kidneys.
• Biopsy- In this test, a tiny kidney tissue examination under a microscope helps in revealing
the current health of the kidneys.
As per your tests’ reports, your doctor may confirm whether you have Nephrotic Syndrome or
not. If he confirms that you have got Nephrotic Syndrome, then don’t panic and try to find out
Nephrotic syndrome treatment in Ayurveda.
Ayurvedic treatment is the most ancient and holistic remedial system that is taken from Vedic
Scriptures in India. This treatment method has a working tendency in which it reaches the roots of
a disease so that to cure it permanently. In other words, Ayurveda targets basic factors responsible
for causing disease and doesn’t focus on symptoms or complications.
Source : Why should one prioritize Ayurvedic medicine for the treatment of Nephrotic Syndrome above all?
If the roots of the disease are cured, the complications and symptoms get disappeared
automatically. In its treatment procedure, Ayurveda uses only natural herbs, some
conventional therapies, and some basic lifestyle changes. The combination of these practices
works extremely well in most of the severe health diseases, including kidney diseases.
Ayurvedic medicines are made up of only natural herbs, so Ayurvedic medicine and
treatment for Nephrotic Syndrome work superbly in curing Nephrotic Syndrome without
leaving any side-effects on the health. Unlike Allopathic treatment, Nephrotic syndrome
ayurvedic treatment doesn’t take the help of dialysis or kidney transplant, so it’s economical
as compared to Allopathic treatment. In a nutshell, we can say that Nephrotic syndrome
treatment in Ayurveda is a risk-free and natural treatment that helps in relieving the
complications and restoring the health of the kidneys simultaneously.
