Scene description (without dialogue) focusing on key micro aspects (mise-en-scène,
camera, sound, editing, etc)
He gets in the taxi, and it's mostly in a Point of View shot and it will be like that for nearly
the whole journey. Conversation starts and you notice that no talk about directions to his
house the drivers asks about his night. James rambles on about his night and makes up loads
of different scenarios. After more conversation, the driver brings up the main idea of the
Bucket List plan and all the tasks he wants to do with someone and he thinks that James is
the perfect guy for this. Initially, he was looking for work, to make money for the night in his
already illegal taxi. As James is drunk, he finds this all really fascinating and totally agrees to
join the driver ( Kerim ) in all these tasks and a friendship is formed, although he doesn't
quite realise what is actually happening and he starts to drive towards an unknown location
and thinks that he's going home, but the alcohol is not permitting his mind to think straight.
The next shot is a parked car outside the house, and it's from right behind the car and in
between the parked car and the house. You firstly see one person gets out, and it makes you
think that he has been successfully dropped home, but then a second person gets out the car,
and it makes you realise that he's been kidnapped and brought to the house, and gives you
false hope of him being dropped off.
