1. Dear King University,
I will be an upcoming freshman during the year 2017. I would like to attend King University
because it is close to home, has a great softball program, beautiful campus, and most importantly offers
what i need academically. I have wanted to attend King University ever since I was about eleven years
old when I attended my first softball camp at King. Every year I have returned to king for another camp
and look into attending more and more each time.
I would like to apply for the Academic Merit Scholarships. I think i deserve this scholarship
because of many reasons. I keep my GPA at a 3.5 and am currently working on raising my ACT score. I
love the Lord and attend church three times a week, and help in the Children’s ministry. I attend Sullivan
Central High School, play two sports, and also have a job. I am a very hard worker and always have a
great attitude. I am also on the leadership team at my school and have great leadership skills. I think that I
deserve the Academic Merit Scholarships and hope that you agree.
