East is known for all the religious culture it has, it is known as the birth place of some religions,
such as Islam, Christianity, Judaism and Yezidi. Today, Christianity is 15% of the population in the
Middle East, 20% are Islam, and around 70,000 and 500,000 are Yezidi. Some natural resources
the Middle East has consists of agriculture, cotton, cattle, dairy, textiles, leather and surgical
instruments. According to the article,"Bilateral accords and U.S. Trades with the Middle East: A
Track Record of Success" they say that "The United States has bilateral free trade
agreements with five countries in the Middle East. U.S. exports to those five countries
account for 38 percent of all trade to the region and show the value of such instruments
in expanding U.S. exports." Today oil trade with the Middle East is still on rocky conditions, but
in October 1973, the Middle east cut off all trades with the United States because of our
involvement in Arab-Israeli conflicts. Gas prices shot through the roof and made investors and oil
companies panic. All in all, The Middle east makes their money by trade and profiting on their
lands recourses and they continue to do that to this day.
