People in the United States are eating themselves to becoming not just heavy but obese in
extraordinarily high rates. It does not take long to be one of those statistics. If you are heavy and
sedentary, you are going to becoming obese. Do you notice that you are slowly gaining more and more
weight? Many people are in denial. Unless you have a medical condition that causes an unnatural weight
gain, then you are simply eating more calories than you are burning. You tell them: “I do not understand
why I am overweight. I don't eat much!" Lying to yourself is not going to make the pounds go
away. Action we
If you are a parent, you are the example to your kids. Shed the fat and get in shape. They watch
everything you say and do. You eat lousy, so will they. If you have a heaping pile of food on your plate,
they will too. This is serious business. You are unhealthy. Do you realize the risk associated with
carrying pounds of fat around your belly? You are much more likely to have a heart attack. Would you
like to have high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, osteoporosis, Cirrhosis of the liver and more? Did you
know that you can develop cirrhosis of the liver due to being obese?
You do not like the way you look or feel. Maybe you can blame your parents. Yet, you are old enough
to figure out how to eat right yourself. Rolls of fat anywhere on the body are not good. It is even worse
when you see kids and teens with giant rolls of fat. Kids get to the point where they think and feel the
situation is hopeless. There is a lack of awareness that having those fat rolls are really unhealthy. You
are in control of what goes in your mouth.
Here is a list of what a lot of overweight habits:.
1. Deny that there is an eating problem. You are eating more calories than you burn.
2. Have poor eating habits like skipping breakfast and or lunch then piling it on later because "I
didn't eat today. The cycle continues because you are too full from yesterday’s late night binge.
3. Eat very few vegetables or fruits.
4. Drink a lot of soda. Whether it is diet or not, soda contains a lot of empty calories and leaches
calcium out of your bones. Great, brittle bones and fat! Diet soda actually stimulates your
appetite.
5. Drink very little water or none at all. Because you are probably drinking caffeine, you run on a
dehydrated body. You count soda as water.
6. Eat a lot of junk food like soda, chips, candy but never fruit. You might not have ever had fresh
sweet pineapple.
7. Eat large portions. You have no idea how many calories you should actually eat.
8. You just accept that you will always be fat. Everyone is fat in my family!
9. You think about food often. When I get home I am going to eat...
10. You just love deep fried foods. In fact, that is how you like to cook.
11. Eat everything on your plate. Ever hear of Saran Wrap?
12. Quickly eat your food so your body does not know that it was full a while ago.
13. Eat when you are not hungry to comfort yourself.
14. Eat when you are mad.
15. You eat if someone else just arrived and they eat even though you are not hungry.
16. Afraid to eat small meals often.
17. Hate exercise.
18. Think exercise is a boring thing people do to torture themselves.
19. Are jealous of thin people?
20. Have almost no fiber in your diet. You are constipated often and have to take drugs to have a
bowel movement. :Add fiber to your diet: eat vegetables, fruit, beans, high fiber cereals
There are obvious statements in these 20 things that can remove the fat. It will be work. But what is
worth anything that you did not work for? Take any one of these statements and change your life. Add
water and ditch the soda. How many people in their 50's now have osteoporosis because they grew up
drinking soda? Drink lemon water (a few slices of lemon squeezed into water and left in the water.)
The diet thing is nonsense. Diet is simply a word that describes what you eat. Everyone has a diet.
Start simple. Most plans or attempts to lose the fat fail because too many adjustments are made all at
once. You give up and tell yourself that it is impossible. If you cannot remove soda from your diet,
replace one glass of soda with ice water. Kids are more likely to drink ice water then just water. Keep
replacing until you are just drinking water. And remember, you cannot gain weight by drinking
water. Actually, this will help lower your caloric intake while helping eliminate constipation.
Plain vegetables bore most people. Add a little butter, seasoning, and melt a small amount of shredded
cheese to the top. Use under a teaspoon of butter and a few tablespoons for the family portion. Make
casseroles that include vegetables and lean meats. Go light on the fat and use cooking spray. Completely
removing fat is not a good idea. Fat makes us full. Excessive amounts of fat are unhealthy to consume.
The idea is to consume fewer calories than what you burn in a day.
Eating a salad as part of a meal is almost a must. It should include some freshly chopped
vegetables. Today you can purchase an array of lettuce which looks appealing when mixed. It does help
to find a salad dressing that everyone likes. Ranch dressing usually is well liked but contains high
calories. Try oil-based salad dressings. Limit how much salad dressing you put on the salad. It defeats
the purpose of eating a salad to drench it in salad dressing adding an excessive amount of calories. This
usually means trial and error. Start reading labels. You will be surprised how many calories are in much
of what you eat. This is an excellent way to get vegetables onto the family plate. If you are too busy, buy
the already chopped up salad. Still add the vegetables. Those are also available in pre-cleaned and
chopped, ready to be placed in a salad. A great way to make an enjoyable salad is to lightly toss some
cut up boneless chicken breast tenders into some olive dressing, sprinkle paprika, garlic powder, pepper
and salt to coat. Grill or brown until done adding no more fat. Chop into the salad and you have a meal.
Add fresh fruit for dessert.
Adding fiber means you need to know what to eat to get it naturally. All fruits and many vegetables
have fiber. Beans especially kidney, garbanzo, pinto etc. are high in fiber. Oatmeal is another great
source. Eating oatmeal for breakfast will leave you quite full until is time to eat lunch. Adding beans to a
salad tastes great for some of us. Cultivate a taste for beans in a salad by using small amounts
increasing with time. Chili also adds fiber to your diet
How you think about your diet can determine how you eat. Here is a typical sentence that many
people use to justify eating a giant meal for supper.” I didn’t eat all day.” Then you proceed to eat a giant
meal to make up for all the meals you did not eat during the day.” I only ate crackers for lunch.” This is
another sentence used to justify overindulging at a meal.” I am starving.” This justifies eating an
overabundant amount of food in a meal. I am completely stressed out.” After saying this, you eat
extraordinary large meal to comfort yourself. “I will never lose weight.” You proceed to eat as much as
you want because the situation is hopeless.” I can’t wait to eat.” This can reflect that you think often of
food. “I do not eat very much, and still gain weight. There must be something wrong with me.” You eat
whatever you like whenever and deny that you are eating too much. Here is the defeatist attitude about
exercise: “I cannot exercise. I hate it too much.” Many people start programs and in their minds they tell
themselves how much they hate it and know that they will quit. Unless you try a variety of programs until
you find something you enjoy, you have not really looked at exercise to promote health. While exercising
will help you lose weight, exercising should be done for health benefits. Exercise promotes excellent
general health.” Our whole family is out fat. I was raised to be fat and I will be fat.” This is a hopeless
statement that reflects that this individual will not really try to lose weight.” I do not understand why am so
heavy, I eat very well.” Closer analysis of the actual diet will reveal many high caloric items including
soda; processed foods, fried foods and fast food.
Serious attempts to lose weight need counseling as support. Counselors will help you change how
you feel about yourself in addition to changing how you approach situations including how you think about
food. Here is a support system for you. They monitor change and success. Making drastic changes
require a support system many people: including friends, support groups, and counseling…
Learning how to eat nutritious foods is vital to success. Shoving down potato chips as you watch TV is
something that needs to be unlearned. Again, eating fresh fruit and vegetables must be done to lose
weight. Having a dietitian to help you, will enable you to reach your goal and not starve yourself. This will
mean omitting certain types of food from your diet. Processed foods are loaded with hidden sugar and
salt. The word “processed “should make you run. It means unnatural. Cook your food. Avoid premade
foods. Eat balanced meals. This includes an accurate portion of protein, healthy carbohydrates,
vegetables and maybe fruit. This approach yields a result of being full. For example, eating buttered
noodles for dinner is not balanced. Many people are starving half an hour after eating this type of meal.
Eating a piece of stewed chicken, one slice of wheat bread lightly buttered, lightly buttered green beans,
and a small salad leave you full for a much longer period of time. Not only will you learn to eat nutritious
they, you will learn how to make complete meals.
Avoid fast food. It is full of empty calories and very high in caloric intake. Some meals contain a daily
allotment of calories in one meal. It is almost impossible to go to a fast food restaurant and not order
greasy food. They need to buy fast food is pounded into your head on television. Notice, the French fries
are just delicious and cheap because they can be found on the dollar menu. If you need a quick meal,
pick up a roasted chicken in a salad from the grocery store. Notice, fried chicken is not suggested. The
coating absorbs high amounts of oil contains high calories. Let yourself learn to enjoy nutritious food. It
will certainly take some time to change how you eat, but your health is far more important than enjoying
fattening food.
Dreading exercise before you start defeats the purpose. Going for a walk with a friend starts you off in
the right direction. Chatting and walking is quite enjoyable. Try finding a wooded area with the path that is
flat. The sounds of leaves rustling in the wind, birds chirping, water flowing, is soothing. Make it your
purpose to exercise for your health. Remember, that exercise produces muscle. Muscle weighs more
than fat. Not only will you look better, you will feel better. The health effects of exercise take time.
Challenge yourself to increase the time you exercise. For instance, go further on your walks. Increase in
small increments. Another enjoyable form of exercise is biking. If you are morbidly obese is not
suggested. Biking will challenge your lungs. Start on flat surfaces. Take someone with you. Once you
figure out balance it becomes easier to bike. Rails to trails are wooded areas that have been transformed
from railroad tracks two pathways for bikers or walkers. Many of these trails are flat.
Here are just some suggestions challenging you to think different, eat different, and exercise. Don’t
beat yourself up if things don’t work out initially. Celebrate success. Avoid celebrating success with food.
It took a long time to develop bad eating habits. It will take some time to change how you live. Surround
yourself with people that will encourage you in your new life. If you take a day off of exercise, make sure
you get back to it the next day. Drinking water with meals is suggested. Soon you will enjoy your new life.
Having to shop for smaller sizes is a reward in itself. Determine that you will not go back to the ways they
got you to be an obese person. You can do this. Start now, waiting can mean you will not change. Your
test results from the doctor will change. Doctors can document unhealthy eating. It shows up in high
cholesterol, high triglycerides, and blood sugars that increase, joint problems, and a general
unhealthiness.
Not only are you changing yourself you are changing the whole family. Offering healthier foods when
you prepare meal will alter what is eaten by her family. Make sure your kids exercise. Exercise is a family.
Tell your kids that they are exercising to maintain good health.
It is your charge to ensure your family eats healthy. You will all shared unnecessary weight and feel
better. There are many reasons to develop healthy eating habits… Everyone needs to be healthy. Start
your change today. Live healthy... Be happy!

US obesity rates rise as people eat more calories than burned

  • 1. People in the United States are eating themselves to becoming not just heavy but obese in extraordinarily high rates. It does not take long to be one of those statistics. If you are heavy and sedentary, you are going to becoming obese. Do you notice that you are slowly gaining more and more weight? Many people are in denial. Unless you have a medical condition that causes an unnatural weight gain, then you are simply eating more calories than you are burning. You tell them: “I do not understand why I am overweight. I don't eat much!" Lying to yourself is not going to make the pounds go away. Action we If you are a parent, you are the example to your kids. Shed the fat and get in shape. They watch everything you say and do. You eat lousy, so will they. If you have a heaping pile of food on your plate, they will too. This is serious business. You are unhealthy. Do you realize the risk associated with carrying pounds of fat around your belly? You are much more likely to have a heart attack. Would you like to have high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, osteoporosis, Cirrhosis of the liver and more? Did you know that you can develop cirrhosis of the liver due to being obese? You do not like the way you look or feel. Maybe you can blame your parents. Yet, you are old enough to figure out how to eat right yourself. Rolls of fat anywhere on the body are not good. It is even worse when you see kids and teens with giant rolls of fat. Kids get to the point where they think and feel the situation is hopeless. There is a lack of awareness that having those fat rolls are really unhealthy. You are in control of what goes in your mouth. Here is a list of what a lot of overweight habits:. 1. Deny that there is an eating problem. You are eating more calories than you burn. 2. Have poor eating habits like skipping breakfast and or lunch then piling it on later because "I didn't eat today. The cycle continues because you are too full from yesterday’s late night binge. 3. Eat very few vegetables or fruits. 4. Drink a lot of soda. Whether it is diet or not, soda contains a lot of empty calories and leaches calcium out of your bones. Great, brittle bones and fat! Diet soda actually stimulates your appetite. 5. Drink very little water or none at all. Because you are probably drinking caffeine, you run on a dehydrated body. You count soda as water. 6. Eat a lot of junk food like soda, chips, candy but never fruit. You might not have ever had fresh sweet pineapple. 7. Eat large portions. You have no idea how many calories you should actually eat. 8. You just accept that you will always be fat. Everyone is fat in my family! 9. You think about food often. When I get home I am going to eat... 10. You just love deep fried foods. In fact, that is how you like to cook. 11. Eat everything on your plate. Ever hear of Saran Wrap? 12. Quickly eat your food so your body does not know that it was full a while ago. 13. Eat when you are not hungry to comfort yourself. 14. Eat when you are mad. 15. You eat if someone else just arrived and they eat even though you are not hungry. 16. Afraid to eat small meals often. 17. Hate exercise. 18. Think exercise is a boring thing people do to torture themselves. 19. Are jealous of thin people? 20. Have almost no fiber in your diet. You are constipated often and have to take drugs to have a bowel movement. :Add fiber to your diet: eat vegetables, fruit, beans, high fiber cereals There are obvious statements in these 20 things that can remove the fat. It will be work. But what is worth anything that you did not work for? Take any one of these statements and change your life. Add water and ditch the soda. How many people in their 50's now have osteoporosis because they grew up drinking soda? Drink lemon water (a few slices of lemon squeezed into water and left in the water.)
  • 2. The diet thing is nonsense. Diet is simply a word that describes what you eat. Everyone has a diet. Start simple. Most plans or attempts to lose the fat fail because too many adjustments are made all at once. You give up and tell yourself that it is impossible. If you cannot remove soda from your diet, replace one glass of soda with ice water. Kids are more likely to drink ice water then just water. Keep replacing until you are just drinking water. And remember, you cannot gain weight by drinking water. Actually, this will help lower your caloric intake while helping eliminate constipation. Plain vegetables bore most people. Add a little butter, seasoning, and melt a small amount of shredded cheese to the top. Use under a teaspoon of butter and a few tablespoons for the family portion. Make casseroles that include vegetables and lean meats. Go light on the fat and use cooking spray. Completely removing fat is not a good idea. Fat makes us full. Excessive amounts of fat are unhealthy to consume. The idea is to consume fewer calories than what you burn in a day. Eating a salad as part of a meal is almost a must. It should include some freshly chopped vegetables. Today you can purchase an array of lettuce which looks appealing when mixed. It does help to find a salad dressing that everyone likes. Ranch dressing usually is well liked but contains high calories. Try oil-based salad dressings. Limit how much salad dressing you put on the salad. It defeats the purpose of eating a salad to drench it in salad dressing adding an excessive amount of calories. This usually means trial and error. Start reading labels. You will be surprised how many calories are in much of what you eat. This is an excellent way to get vegetables onto the family plate. If you are too busy, buy the already chopped up salad. Still add the vegetables. Those are also available in pre-cleaned and chopped, ready to be placed in a salad. A great way to make an enjoyable salad is to lightly toss some cut up boneless chicken breast tenders into some olive dressing, sprinkle paprika, garlic powder, pepper and salt to coat. Grill or brown until done adding no more fat. Chop into the salad and you have a meal. Add fresh fruit for dessert. Adding fiber means you need to know what to eat to get it naturally. All fruits and many vegetables have fiber. Beans especially kidney, garbanzo, pinto etc. are high in fiber. Oatmeal is another great source. Eating oatmeal for breakfast will leave you quite full until is time to eat lunch. Adding beans to a salad tastes great for some of us. Cultivate a taste for beans in a salad by using small amounts increasing with time. Chili also adds fiber to your diet How you think about your diet can determine how you eat. Here is a typical sentence that many people use to justify eating a giant meal for supper.” I didn’t eat all day.” Then you proceed to eat a giant meal to make up for all the meals you did not eat during the day.” I only ate crackers for lunch.” This is another sentence used to justify overindulging at a meal.” I am starving.” This justifies eating an overabundant amount of food in a meal. I am completely stressed out.” After saying this, you eat extraordinary large meal to comfort yourself. “I will never lose weight.” You proceed to eat as much as you want because the situation is hopeless.” I can’t wait to eat.” This can reflect that you think often of food. “I do not eat very much, and still gain weight. There must be something wrong with me.” You eat whatever you like whenever and deny that you are eating too much. Here is the defeatist attitude about exercise: “I cannot exercise. I hate it too much.” Many people start programs and in their minds they tell themselves how much they hate it and know that they will quit. Unless you try a variety of programs until you find something you enjoy, you have not really looked at exercise to promote health. While exercising will help you lose weight, exercising should be done for health benefits. Exercise promotes excellent general health.” Our whole family is out fat. This will mean omitting certain types of food from your diet. Processed foods are loaded with hidden sugar and salt. The word “processed “should make you run. It means unnatural. Cook your food. Avoid premade foods. Eat balanced meals. This includes an accurate portion of protein, healthy carbohydrates, vegetables and maybe fruit. This approach yields a result of being full. For example, eating buttered noodles for dinner is not balanced. Many people are starving half an hour after eating this type of meal. Eating a piece of stewed chicken, one slice of wheat bread lightly buttered, lightly buttered green beans, and a small salad leave you full for a much longer period of time. Not only will you learn to eat nutritious they, you will learn how to make complete meals. Avoid fast food. It is full of empty calories and very high in caloric intake. Some meals contain a daily allotment of calories in one meal. It is almost impossible to go to a fast food restaurant and not order greasy food. Start now, waiting can mean you will not change. Your test results from the doctor will change. Doctors can document unhealthy eating. It shows up in high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and blood sugars that increase, joint problems, and a general unhealthiness. Not only are you changing yourself you are changing the whole family. Offering healthier foods when you prepare meal will alter what is eaten by her family. Make sure your kids exercise. Exercise is a family.
